At loss of words...

Too many things happened in the last 2 days. I was going to blog about how beautifully my Pot Marigolds were gonna bloom to thank my friends all over the world for Thanksgiving, but a hurricane (people named her 'Nisha') flooded our city and due to the terrible and pathetic drainage system, we had to get out of our house for the first time in my life to my aunt's. As I write this, fear grips my heart as to when I'll go back to MY home... Will be back soon with more cheerful posts... Take care everyone

So sorry to hear this, Chandramouli. I hope that it doesn't take too long for the waters to recede. Take care...really don't know what to say at a time like this.

I pray your plants will survive. Maybe lady luck will be on your side and things will be OK. I'll watch your blog for up dates. Good luck. Bob

I do hope all is well, Chandramouli, and that you escape any damage to your home and garden. Although here in the Midwest we don't have hurricanes, we Americans have certainly seen in recent years the devastation they can cause. I will be thinking of you.

Sorry to hear of your evacuation, but happy to know that you and your family are safe. The garden is resilient and will no doubt recover, a shining example to the rest of us to pick up and go on!

Best wishes.

First of all, I thank you all for your assuring comments and it's because of your nice hearts that I'm now back to my sweet home and replying.
Luckily, water drained back after three days leaving us a back-breaking task of cleaning the entire house. Still the floor is a bit sticky and wet. [SIGH] Few more days of work...

Kanak: Thanks a lot. I can't say that enough times...

Bob: They all survived except the poor Pot Marigold (I'm still mourning at that loss), but I have seeds enough to grow quite a few. Thanks a lot!

Rose: Thank you so much for your concern. Home and garden are slowly recuperating. :)

Greg: I should say I'm happy, coz seeing many people dead [shocking] in newspapers and struggling to get even a packet of rice, I should say I'm blessed. My heart bleeds for all those who're still suffering, coz I suffered a teeny part of that.

Dee: Almost everything was intact. Of course there was some loss, but I should be thankful that it wasn't really huge and thank God, my plants are safe too.

Thinking of god, it really hurts that I could pay homage to them at home for four days! That's never happened in my life. The moment I came back home and saw the water-soaked, faded flowers sticking on to their divine idols, my heart sank and tears welled up in my eyes. God! Let not this ever happen again in my life or in ANYONE's.

gg: Man, am I glad too. Thank you so much. You have know idea how much your words mean to me. I cannot thank you all enough.

Tyra: :) Luckily no snakes in the place I live as it's the heart of the city, but in outskirts they did have snakes swimming about. In fact there were a few crocodiles that escaped in one of the outskirts of the city! God! I can't even imagine that.
BTW, my name is an epithet of Lord Siva - one of the Trinity Gods in Hindu Mythology. It means the one who bears the moon (Chandra) in his crest (mouli).

Thank you for leaving a comment on my Skywatch post. I have been blogging so much, I don't read the paper or watch the news lately! I am sorry about the hurricane and flooding in your area. I read your latest post, too, and thought it very creative.
