Weekly Macro

Okay, I know I'm bad at keeping up my promises and my job doesn't help me either! So, I decided to get real and change the Monday Macro to Weekly Macro, coz I've missed it twice already and I feel embarrassed. Phew! I said it! I feel so much relieved now. Okay! So, for this week's macro, it's my favorite - Amaryllis Lily. I've waited more than six months for this to bloom again and here's the result:
Amaryllis Lily - Hippeastrum hybrid
If you remember my Bud(g)s Beauty (December Birthday Gift) post, this is what it bloomed into. Isn't she beautiful? She's one of the older citizens of Plantville.

She is very beutiful! I like weekly macro best. I too enjoy my macro lens but just do not take her out often enough. Thanks for the inspiration to do so at least once a week!

Hi Sherry!
Thanks for stopping by. Thanks to my sister who taught me this option in the camera. Glad you liked it and glad I inspired someone. :)

She was certainly worth the wait--very beautiful! I just potted up an amaryllis bulb after Christmas--not the same plant, I know--and I can't wait to see it bloom either.

That's a very pretty amaryllis. I used to grow them and somehow fell out of the habit. Seeing yours makes me want to grow them again. Thanks for the beautiful photo!

Rose: Amaryllis Lily seems to be everyone's favorite. Of course it'd be, for its divine beauty. Please do post the pic of your Lily when it blooms.

Michelle: Welcome to Plantville, Michelle! You should definitely grow them. I checked out many online stores in US and there're so many unique colors and hybrids that you can choose from unlike here. Have fun with 'em!

Hi Chandra...
Very pretty! I had one bloom around Thanksgiving that looked very similar to yours. It's on my blog, a little bit down. I didn't check the name of it at the time. I love almost any amaryllis--any way I can get 'em!!

Oh it's lovely! My amaryllis is about to bloom too, and I think it's the same kind as yours. I can't wait! I've been enjoying all your flowers, since mine are all buried in snow by now.

Marvin: Hi! Thanks a lot :)

Jan: I remember your Amaryllis post, Jan. It was so heavenly. Wish I could get such colors too. I hate to have the common ones.

Msrobin: Awww! Don't worry. The snow'll be gone soon filling your garden with flowers and I'll be at you blog with my mouth watering and my eyes goggling at them. Do post your Amaryllis bloom when its bloomed. I'd love to smile back at it.

Nice flower photos. I took a lot of macro shots last summer of the flowers but so far have not posted them.
