Chandramouli,
I love the Butterfly Pea vine, but I've never had any luck growing it. How beautiful yours is!--Randy

Interesting post today Chandramouli! My mom is a Capricorn and I found the info pretty accurate. :) Beautiful photos today.

I'm glad you liked it, Tina. I hope the future months are as interesting too. I hope I stay up to your expectations :).

It germinates pretty fast here and grows before you remember when you sowed it! Yes, it's a treat when you have sun and even with less sun, it blooms! Ain't that cool! Even when we had that hurricane thingy, with rains showering madly, these flowered!

Thank you for the appreciation, perennialgardener. I was in fact worried not to predict the wrong qualities and glad to hear that I didn't :)

Deb: Hi There! I'm thrilled to meet a Capricorn now! Many more happy returns! Thank you for stopping by. Hope I draw you back here in future too.

Linda: I read your Interview over at Karrita's. I was inspired. I always love your clay works. I used to play with the colorful clay doughs when I was young. Wish I could make such beautiful stuff like you do! Only I don't know where to get clay here :(
You get it in powder there and mix it with water or how does that work?

Thank you fr your compliments :)

Hi Gail! I always am a great fan of you and your blog! Thank you :)

Robin: Yes, all the flowers are from Plantville - my garden. It's my pleasure :) I love the orange rose too but it doesn't flower frequently. Takes almost a month or two :( But I love it all the same!

So many beautiful flowers. I hope you continue on and I get to see what you show for Cancer!

Chandramouli S said...

Hi Catherine, thank you do much. I wish I had more different kinds of flowers. LOL! One can never satisfy me or any gardener for that matter, eh?
Oh my sis is a Cancerian and some of my friends are too. Hope I come up with something that pleases you :) Let's see what my plants say!

Such a lovely post, Chandramouli! I'm a Gemini so I'll have to wait to see what is in store for us:)
Oh, it's sooo nice to see all your lovely blooms right now. You certainly have some tall climbers!

Great post and very pretty blooms. The jasmine--so characteristic of Chennai--looks lovely! Your words pretty much sums up my husband. Yes, I'm married to a goat!;-)

Thank you for leaving a comment at L'Orto! I can especially appreciate your post on Capricorns because my husband is one (and yes, they certainly are sure-footed!). Lovely photos of the flowers...I so look forward to the spring!

Chandramouli S said...

LOL! Thank you, Kanak. :)). You're lucky to be married to one, so to say. One of my friends is a Capricorn and she's such a great personality too!

Right said, Rowena! Welcome to Plantville :). Thank you so much. I am curious to see what spring will bring to Lecco. Italy is a country I'd love to visit at least once in my life. To me Italy = Exotic!

Hello, I droppen in from Lindas page....
Wonderful flowers you show.
Is the blue one you hava as header-picture a Thunbergia Grandiflora? I guess so, have seen them on Bali two years ago, just lovely. Wish I could have such a plant....will surch on Internet maybe a tropical nursery is having those?
Best regards, Petra

Hi Petra! Welcome to Plantville. Oh, I'm a fan of Linda and her crafts too! Glad you liked my blooms.
The header picture is that of Blue Morning Glory (Ipomoea nil). I'm sure you would find it, as it's a very notorious and easy-to-grow vine. Unfortunately, the plant died after a glorious show for quite long. It'll definitely come back to my garden in future.
I have a handful of its seeds that I'd be glad to share, if only the customs wouldn't object. If I can mail it to you, do let me know. I'll be more than glad to. You can mail me at Chandramouli.S@gmail.com.

Hi Wayne, I fell in love with that rose the moment I saw it at the nursery. Though I wasn't very particular about roses as I'll have to wait long for their blooms, I couldn't resist this!

thanks for your comment on my blog...I´ll come back soon. And off course, no problem - I will translate my blogg from now on ;O)

My mother grew oleanders in Australia, and some beautiful hibiscus, among many other things. I love to see these beautiful plants. Jasmine was always a big favorite of mine.
Your hibiscus is a real beauty! You have some lovely plants in your garden.
So glad you enjoyed seeing the birds :)

Chandramouli S said...

Oh, I love birds so much, but only not all of them understand my love for them. But I'm glad I get to see the gorgeous parrots and pigeons a lot!
Hibiscus is truly a great plant but it's so demanding - I mean it's so prone to diseases! I and my mom always promise that we wouldn't get another and every time we say that we add another color to our garden and it's grown to 6 colors now! We've successfully maintained our vow for about four months now! That's something...

From this post I have all
except: Chrysanthemun,
Rose and Zinnias.

I have a collection of
eighty species and prefer
to propagate my own instead
of buying at nurseries.

That climber the Butterfly
Pea is one of my favorites,
since it is wild, not sold
in stores in Puerto Rico.

I believe a garden should
really express one's taste,
gardening research, studies,
practice. And should never
look like my neighbors.

Excellent blog.

Said true about garden reflecting your self! Thank you so much.
Eighty species you say? Whoa! I envy you (;))
