Macro Monday

Hi Everyone!
I'm sorry about the late post - it's coz my sis got engaged today! YAY! Something party on. My garden rejoiced at it too with blooms. Even the Yellow hibiscus and the Amaryllis Lily bloomed (SCREAM!)
BTW, it's the Plumbago for the Macro Monday! I'm not sure if it is Plumbago auriculata or Plumbago zeylanica (Would appreciate your help).

I'll go for auriculata ...

I've got one which by now should be dormant - but it even pushed out a bloom last week. Cheered me up as I looked out on the snow.

I too thought the same but got confused with color, coz the auriculata is more bluish where as mine is more of whitish hue and the petals slightly have a sharp edges almost like the zeylanica.

Must've been a treat - a bloom in the eerie snow!

I can't help you identify the Plumbago, but it's certainly a lovely shade of blue!

Very beautiful!

I'd say auriculata as well. Plumbago auriculata can be white too! Maybe that explains yours.

Rose and Kanak, than you so much.
Susie: I go by the experts' decision - auriculata then.

It sounds like you are very excited about your sister's engagement:) Your plumbago is lovely, though I cannot help with identification! You are so fortunate that you have the warm climate to grow amaryllis!! I only get to see them in a pot indoors around Thanksgiving and Christmas! Take care! Jan

I sure am, Jan. :) Thank you for the comments. Yes, I consider myself lucky after seeing many posts with only pictures of sheets of snow covering everything. But I crave for that too. I guess you'll know the pain only when you feel it.
